"Beyond Pizza, Doughnuts, and Burnout - A Collaborative Statewide Stress First Aid Training Initiative: Responding to The Needs and Experiences of Nurses and Other Health Care Workers In North Carolina” (4.0 CH)
Presented by Dr. Sean Convoy, DNP, PMHNP-BC

Hosted by NCNA Council of Psychiatric/ Mental Health Nurses

Stress First Aid (SFA) is a framework for peer support and self-care for health care professionals. The SFA framework is parallel to how a clinician or first-responder approaches physical first aid—intervening when needed to remove the stressor, prevent further harm, and promote recovery for those who have been strongly affected by significant stress. Dr. Sean Convoy, DNP, PMHNP-BC (DUSON) has received a grant to present this curriculum across the state.

This live, in-person event is intended for all nurses and healthcare workers. Both members and non-members are invited to attend.

Pre-registration is required. This program is free to attend. Nurses can obtain 4.0 CH. Your pre-registration serves as your RSVP. Registration will open in early 2023.

Learning Outcome:

Attendees will gain knowledge about the stress continuum and the stress first aid model to reduce risk for stress injury and promote coping, recovery and resilience.
